Helping you to get ahead
We understand that being unemployed can be very difficult, a real barrier to work in itself, and that getting the right help to get the job you want can make all the difference for you and your family.
That's where Steps to Work can help. We're experts in helping long-term unemployed people get back to into work and stay there.
Supporting you from the start . . .
People matter at Steps to Work. So first of all, you'll get your own personal adviser who'll work with you on a one-to-one basis to find out your skills, needs and goals and what type of work you'd like to do. And whatever your job aims we'll make sure you get exactly the right help you need to achieve your goals and put together a package of support that's as individual as you are.
By providing you with a tailored package of support we'll help you to overcome any barriers that have been preventing you from working, for example, whether it's help with basic skills, building your confidence, vocational training or getting work experience to build your CV.
We'll also help you make the most of the skills you have already and develop new ones to make sure you're able to take advantage of new opportunities when they come along,
. . . and when you're back in work
Finding you a job which you'll probably end up leaving after just a few weeks is no good for you or your new employer. That's why we'll only put you forward for jobs we know you're really interested in and which are suitable for you.
We'll also stay in touch with you during your first few months in work to make sure you continue to get all the help and support you need to realise your potential. It's this level of support that helps set Steps to Work apart from most other 'back to work' providers.
